Our ESC volunteer and veterinary student Nariman Huseynov from Azerbaijan has successfully completed his two-month volunteering activity with Sahipsiz Hayvanları Koruma ve Yaşatma Derneği in Sinop and returned home. ✨

Within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps, Nariman was sent by “Gələcəyə Körpü” Gənclər İctimai Birliyi and actively supported the daily work of our association and the care of our animals throughout his two-month stay. He took part in feeding the animals, cleaning and preparing their living spaces, administering medication and especially caring for our cats. He also contributed to our garden and visibility activities.

Nariman’s contribution went beyond his daily tasks. By sharing responsibilities with the other volunteers, he helped create a friendly and cooperative working environment while contributing to the well-being of the animals in our care. ❤️

These two months were also an important journey of personal, social, cultural and professional learning for Nariman. Although living in a new country and working with people from different cultures brought some challenges at first, the experience helped him become more responsible, patient, confident, independent and adaptable. He strengthened his communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills while building new friendships along the way.

During our Culture Nights, volunteers had the opportunity to share the traditional food, music, customs and cultures of their countries. Nariman introduced his friends to Azerbaijani culture while discovering other cultures and developing a deeper appreciation of cultural diversity.

In his free time, he also explored Sinop together with his teammates, visited different places and shared many enjoyable moments with the group, leaving Türkiye with wonderful memories and friendships.

Dear Nariman, thank you for your dedication, responsibility and solidarity, and for everything you contributed to our animals and our association. We hope the experiences and skills you gained during these two months will accompany you throughout your future veterinary career and wherever your journey takes you next. ❤️
