Those who have visited Karainci Cafe will probably remember Zeytin, who had been a familiar face and almost an icon of the cafe for years. Zeytin is now staying at the Tarzan Kemal Animal Shelter.

When we visited him today, his reaction to seeing us broke our hearts. He wouldn’t leave our side, he cried out for attention and kept asking to be petted… It was almost as if he was begging us, “Please, take me away from here.”

Zeytin is used to being around people. He knows what love and affection feel like. He deserves to live not in a crowded shelter, but in a home of his own, with people who will truly make him part of their family.

Maybe you petted him at Karainci. Maybe he sat beside you, greeted you or posed for one of your photos. Now Zeytin needs you.
