Our Tunisian volunteer Siwar Mazigh, stayed in Sinop for 11 months with our European Solidarity Corps project, went back to her home. In the activity where the hosting organisation is the Association of Sustainable Development of Sinop, Siwar participated both in the activities for art & culture and generating products to be sold in favor of our stray friends. Therefore she manifested her two passions – animal welfare and art during her activity.
Siwar worked on the interior design of the exhibition room in the historical prison in Sinop and edited several interview videos. She also assisted other artists with their events.
She generated products to be sold in favor of our stray friends for special occasions such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day and the products for the tourists that would like to buy from our summer shop. She took care of the orphan kittens and puppies with our vet volunteers.
During her stay in Sinop, she took Turkish lessons and she had a keen interest in Turkish culture and traditions. She made many friends in Sinop, both with other volunteers and with the locals.
Siwar has made many contributions to our association both financially and morally. We thank her very much for her extraordinary effort.
