Veterinary doctor Sara Sanchez, who came from Spain with our European Solidarity Corps project, completed her two-month volunteering service and returned home. Throughout her time Sara worked at the Sinop and Gerze shelters and with the cats and dogs under our care. She transported sick animals from the shelters to the clinic. She implemented treatment protocols for sick animals in the patient room at the volunteer house. After recovery, she provided care and routine examinations for the cats and dogs brought to the garden of the volunteer house. She assisted the veterinarians at the Sinop and Gerze shelters with their diagnoses, treatments, and surgeries. Thanks to Sara, the general condition of many stray animals improved, and they regained their former health. She had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with other veterinary colleagues from different countries, gaining a wealth of knowledge and skills in the veterinary field. We extend our sincere gratitude to Sara for all her dedicated work.
