Maryam Asgarova, a senior veterinary student who came from Azerbaijan with our European Solidarity Corps project, returned to her home. Maryam worked in Gerze and Sinop shelters during her 2-month activity. She assisted the veterinarians here in surgical operations and treatments. She took part in the treatment of our homeless friends in the private clinic, such as fractures, cystitis and kidney stones. She cared for and treated sick cats at home. She accompanied our sick homeless friends who went to 19 Mayıs University and observed the treatments of the teachers. She removed a pin from the leg of the injured hawk at Sarıkum Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. She released the recovered seagull back into nature. We would like to thank Maryam for all her efforts for our homeless friends.
