Linda Mouyabi, our veterinary volunteer from the Czech Republic, who stayed in Sinop for 6 months with our European Solidarity Corps project, returned to her home. She worked in animal shelters in Sinop and Gerze. She assisted the veterinarians of Sinop and Gerze Municipalities for sterilization operations. She administered antiparasitic treatments and vaccinations, monitored the general health of the shelter dogs, and provided emergency medical intervention to any illness or injury. She treated animals after car accidents, cleaned their wounds and treated sick animals with infectious diseases.
She took the animals to her home to provide intensive care and provided special care and treatment at home. She raised the kittens and took the recovering dogs for regular walks. She assisted in the microchip process for 70 cats and rescued and transported the stray mother dog from her location to a safe location with her babies.
Linda also did something no one else had ever done. She adopted 3 weak and sick dogs in the shelter. She healed them first. Then she started the paperwork to take her back to her country.
With Linda’s devoted work many cats and dogs have come back to life. We thank her very much for her outstanding work during her volunteering. We will miss Linda very much.
