Veterinarians Lala Shiriyeva and Asmar Hasanova, who came from Azerbaijan through our European Solidarity Corps project, have completed nine months of volunteer service and returned to their homes. Throughout their work, Lala and Asmer provided treatment and care for stray animals in need at shelters in Gerze and Sinop, as well as under our care. They assisted veterinarians at the shelters during surgeries and provided post-operative care. They cared for orphaned kittens and puppies and took disabled dogs for walks. They showed love and compassion to our stray animals. Thanks to Lala and Asmar, many animals received necessary medical attention, and their conditions improved both physically and emotionally. They exchanged knowledge and experience with veterinary colleagues from different countries, improved their foreign language skills, and developed themselves professionally, socially, and personally. We extend our sincere gratitude to Lala and Asmer for all their dedicated work.
