Our Finnish Vet Heidi Peltola has completed her 6-month long internship in our shelter and left Sinop today. During her internship, she saved so many lives. She assisted our municipality’s Vet Volkan Tuncay in numerous sterilization, traumatic surgery and amputation operations. She did the post-op care of a lot of animals. She diagnosed internal diseases. She fought against so many diseases such as Distemper, Panleukopenia, Fib, Parvoviral Enteritis. She made 7 one-week old orphan puppies – came the same day as her – alive. She covered the floor of the puppies’ unit with a special material so that the winter would be warmer for them. She vaccinated each puppy as soon as it came. She informed us before the vaccines were about to over. She adopted a puppy from the shelter. She gave information about her occupation to the pupils in a school on 4th October, the World Animals’ Day. On the same day, she introduced herself in Barış FM to whole Sinop and told everyone to be more sensitive towards stray animals. She helped us in our art workshop for our association’s fundraising activity. She gave so intimate interview to the reporters that all Sinop loved her. She loves Sinop too and she made a lot of friends here.
Many thanks to Heidi Peltola for being the doctor of our stray animals. All Sinop and we love Heidi very much!
