Veterinary student Laçin Bayramalili, who came from Azerbaijan with our European Solidarity Corps project, completed his two-month volunteering service and returned home. Throughout his time Laçin worked at the Gerze shelter and with the cats and dogs under our care. He transported sick animals from the shelters to the clinic. He fostered newborn orphaned kittens. He implemented treatment protocols for sick animals in the patient room at the volunteer house. After recovery, he provided care and routine examinations for the cats and dogs brought to the garden of the volunteer house. He assisted the veterinarian at the Gerze shelter with his diagnoses, treatments, and surgeries. Thanks to Laçin, the general condition of many stray animals improved, and they regained their former health. He had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with other veterinary colleagues from different countries, gaining a wealth of knowledge and skills in the veterinary field. We extend our sincere gratitude to Laçin for all his dedicated work.
