Oumaima Chemrah, a senior veterinary student who came from Morocco with our European Solidarity Corps project, completed her two-month volunteering service. During her activity, Oumaima provided care of many homeless animals in shelters and under our care, and assisted veterinarians in surgeries. She helped many animals recover. She improved her veterinary skills. She formed bonds with other volunteers from different cultures. She gained self-assurance. She enhanced autonomy. She improved her empathy and sensitivity. We thank Oumaima for all her outstanding work for our homeless friends.
