Milisa Lekbir, our veterinary student volunteer from Algeria with our European Solidarity Corps project, completed her two-month volunteering service and returned to her home. Throughout her activities, Milisa served in Sinop and Gerze Shelters and in a private clinic to follow up our sick and homeless animals. She ensured good nutrition and daily care of animals in shelters. She ensured that the shelter was clean and a healthy environment for the animals. She performed and assisted many critical procedures under the supervision of experienced veterinarians. She learned how to perform neutering surgeries on cats and dogs. She monitored the health of the animals in the shelter and performed routine health checks. She assisted veterinarians in providing emergency medical care to injured or sick animals. She developed skills in performing health assessments, administering medications, and providing postoperative care. She helped heal many homeless and sick animals. We thank Milisa very much for all her devoted work.
