Our Italian volunteer Fabiola Olivieri, who came to Sinop with our Erasmus+ Volunteering project “Northern Lights”, left for her home after completing her two-month long service. She worked as a vet assistant in the wild life center in Sarıkum. She helped the vets with examination, radiography, medication and surgery. She took take of the patients during the treatment and post op periods and recorded the condition of the patient. After the surgery, she worked on the physiotherapy of some birds to use their wings and legs to live in the nature again. She was responsible for the feeding of the hospitilized wild animals such as deer, gazelle, bear, baby bear and a lot of birds. Also she shared the task of taking care of 7 orphan puppies that came to her flat with the other volunteers. She took the night shifts. She was the angel of all the orphan, wounded and sick animals in Sinop and showed them maternal affection. She made a lot of friends in Sinop with her emotional, warm hearted and affectionate spirit. Many thanks to Fabiola for her unique efforts for us.
