Our volunteers Deniz Yılkı and Selin Çelik, who went to Sumgait, Azerbaijan with our European Solidarity Corps project, returned home. During their 2-month activities, they participated in the activities of the hosting organisation, Common Sense Youth Organisation. Deniz and Selin attended lessons and games containing ecological information with children in schools and associations. They participated in different activities during summer school and regular school periods and prepared activities for young people. As part of the summer school project, they played meeting games with the students and helped the instructors. They took part in photography, video and promotion for the summer school and other events. After the summer school activities, they organized trips to fruit and vegetable raising laboratories with different groups of children. They participated training sessions for children on vegetable and fruit cultivation. With the start of the school term in Azerbaijan, they went to different schools and classes and gave lessons on ecology. While explaining the topic of ecology to the children, they played games to reinforce this topic. This activity contributed greatly to the personal, social, professional and cultural development of our volunteers. We would like to thank Deniz and Selin for all their efforts in their tasks.
