The task of our Erasmus+ European Voluntary Service project “Transposition / Aktarim” is a brigde which connects the past and the future. It is a project which makes us feel the past with our all senses and it tranposes the present with all of the values to the future. The project will make us feel the spirit of the objects and the other creatures with gentle and emotional touches in the human memory and make us appreciate them. These are the subjects of Sinopale (International Sinop Biennial) which has been working on for 13 years. In order to build our future, we need strong values from the past. Sinopale meets this need by organising events such as culture, art, history, etc. It works on the sustainable development of the town and makes the next generation develop their consciousness on this field.
Our project has two main activities and there are two different receiving organisations:
1st activity aims to take the responsibility of the pets which are made to survive in the animal shelter and meet their needs such as love, affection, food, treatment, care that they are expecting from the human beings. This activity is a European Voluntary Service which is 365-day long, long term, with France, which is one of Program Countries. There will be only 1 volunteer who will be the owner of our stray friends both in the shelter and in the streets and will meet their needs. The volunteer will learn their treatment and care of the pets by doing with the vet in the shelter and will have an opportunity to realize her own projects. These projects will be about raising awareness on animals rights and make people be more sensitive about their rights and be their advocates. She will also work with the children and young people in order to transpose the advocacy of animals rights to the next generation.
2nd activity will be working on the sustainable development of the town on any field for 59 days, short term, with of the Neighbouring and Partner Countries under the European Voluntary Service with 12 volunteers in total. Sinopale, the biggest project of the Assocation of the Sustainable Development of Sinop, organises so many events on this subject. The volunteers who will take part in these event will be the young artists who are looking for a better career for themselves. This activity will embrace the young artists and give opportunity to meet their competences with the audience. Our volunteers will work with the world-wide known artists and curators, be able to access job opportunities easily in their home countries or in another country with the experience they will get with us and continue working on art. They will use the sharing model of Sinopale which has its essense from the objects of the town and the local people. They will create values in the human memory by transposing on everything from the past to the future. They will find the opportunity to make them come true with every branch of art. They will transpose them by touching gently to the emotions of people of any age range. Our volunteers in the second activity of the project “Transposition / Aktarım” will come from France, Moldova, Albania, Spain, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Tunisia and Greece.
Therefore with all of the dissemination tools such as posters, brochures, invitation letters, film, photographs, exhibitions, street activities, etc, the society will be the witness of our works for the sustenance of the stray animals and the sustainable development of the town which will be supported by the EU and they will feel themselves responsible for doing something as well.
