Veterinary students from Azerbaijan, Renata Burobina and Elshad Alizada, who participated in our European Solidarity Corps project, have completed their two-month activities and returned to their home. During their activities, Renata and Elshad met the medical needs and provided care for sick and needy cats and dogs at the Gerze shelter and for the ones under our care. They assisted the veterinarian in surgical operations and actively participated in the shelter’s daily routines. They helped with feeding, cleaning, monitoring the condition of the animals, and providing care and attention. They gained experience in sterilization and amputation surgeries. They carried out daily examinations and treatment protocols for the cats and dogs under our care. They ensured the animals received continuous care, attention, and were kept in a cleaner and safer environment. They exchanged knowledge and experience related to veterinary science with colleagues from different countries. Thanks to our volunteers, many of our beloved pets were cared for. We extend our sincere thanks to Renata and Elshad for all their dedicated work.
