Seyyar Aghazada, from Azerbaijan, completed his 4-month volunteering service with our European Solidarity Corps project and returned to his home. During his time as a volunteer, Seyyar carried out many valuable activities for our homeless animal friends. He participated in surgeries at the Gerze shelter. He assisted in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of sick cats and dogs. He provided care and medical attention for dogs at the Tarzan Kemal Living Area. He took care of the cats and the patient room and attended to their medical needs. He conducted routine checkups for 80 cats and 7 dogs under our care, most of which were disabled. He dug a canal to prevent water accumulation in the cat enclosure in the village, built a doghouse, and worked on the microchipping of approximately 40 cats. He treated all cats and dogs under our care for internal and external parasites. He exchanged ideas and methods with other veterinary volunteers from different countries. Seyyar was incredibly helpful to us, and thanks to him, the quality of life for many of our stray animal friends improved. We extend our sincere thanks to Seyyar for all his devoted work.
